Did you know you can easily convert overseas inflatables to work in Australia?
All you need to do is swap the original plug for an Australian-compliant transformer with the same voltage and the same (or higher) amperage rating.
Check the picture to make sure the plug looks the same (most are) and has 2 pins. Once matched correctly, your inflatable will run safely on Australian power without any fuss.
Safety rules:
The replacement plug (LED driver) must match the same voltage as your current plug. However, it’s fine for it to have a higher amperage rating, as the inflatable will only draw the amount of current it needs. To work out which plug you require, check the label on your blower fan (open the bottom zipper and look at the back of the fan for the specifications). Choose a plug that is at least one step higher than the blower’s amp rating — for example, if your fan is 1.2A, use a 1.5A (1500mA) plug. This gives enough capacity to run both the fan and the LEDs without overloading the plug.
