Troubleshooting your Air Figs inflatable...

Fortunately, there is not a lot that can go wrong with your inflatable but if one day you turn it on and something is not right here are some things to check.

Problem:

Possible Solution:

Nothing is working:

  1. Unplug from power.
  2. Check power lead,  starting from the fan blower end. Follow it down to the transformer making sure there are no cuts or breaks.
  3. Where the power lead meets the transformer ensure that connection is tight by pushing the wire into the transformer and screwing the attached connector ensuring it is tight.
  4. If there is an adaptor, plug that in and then plug back into power.
  5. Cross your fingers and turn it on again.

Lights go on but it’s not blowing up:

  1. Check the air blowing fan is free from any obstructions. Use a twig or pen to try and spin the fan manually. If it does not spin freely then check to make sure there are no rocks or something has stuck inside a fan blade. 
  2. The air blowing fan must be able to suck the air in from outside of the inflatable. If there’s something blocking the fan from sucking in air, even partially, it will not be working at maximum performance and this could lead to it burning out.

It’s not blowing up as fast as it used to:

  1. The transformer’s power should never wane or become slower over time. It should simply work or not work (at capacity) so this points to something blocking the fan.  Check the air blower fan is free from any obstructions. There could be a leaf covering the air inlet and stopping it from sucking in the full amount of air.
  2. The blower fan supplied sucks the right amount of air to keep the inflatable inflated but it must be able to suck the full amount of air in. If there’s something blocking it, even partially, such as a leaf or little critter it will not be working at maximum performance and this could lead to it burning out.

It’s not the right shape:

  1. If you’ve turned on your inflatable and it’s not looking the same as it looks on the box then the wiring inside may have twisted upon itself and this could be pulling only certain parts of your inflatable one strange way or another. For example a customer had a 3.6m sleigh with 3 reindeers attached. One of the reindeers, the front one, looked wonky. It just wouldn’t stand up straight like the others. This turned out to be the wires. By opening the zipper and peeking inside while the unit was turned on you could see the tangle where the wire was caught on another wire. They carefully untangled the wires and that was easily fixed.
